Kaspersky knows the difficulty users meet. This is of course reasonable. Sometimes, after the Kaspersky installation, it really takes a very long time to fully update program modules and based files. It is able to create a mirror from Kaspersky lab's update server. The following things become easier. With Kaspersky Updater, you can update if you have a few Kaspersky product installed in your network. Generally speaking, Kaspersky Updater could download latest based and modules from Kaspersky Lab and finally support local updating. Hereafter, let's see how the Updater works.


1. Download the latest Kaspersky Update Utility. The current version is 3.2.0.2. Then extract all files into the same directory.

2. Run KasperskyUpdater.exe file.3. Download setting. Select "Download databases for the selected products" and check the boxes according to which version of base that you want to download. Click "Apply" then "Start" and it will start to download. First time will take quite a while to complete downloading but after that it should only a few seconds because it supports incremental updates.

Now you need to configure Kaspersky to grab the updates from your own update folder. Click Settings > Update on the left pane > Settings button > Add, browse the location of the Updates folder and click OK > Uncheck Kaspersky Lab's update servers > and click OK to close the update settings window. What's more, the first time updating needs around an hour but afterwards, it takes less than a minute to download the 18MB update activity!
